Oh yeah, I hear you... (I'm on a one piece a day rule right now... again. I've got experience that if you deny yourself the urge is just stronger and you end up with a whole bar of chocolate in the end... So I get one bit a day and everything's ok)
And I'm totally behind too, my messages (i.e. fic pond) piles up to thirty again, and I conceded not keeping the big bangs for now (since there's a bit of work for the semester still left... *sigh*)
then maybe I'll get a few straggles before the second chapter come out.
