So, Christmas Eve, getting it in just under the wire before we start preparing the feast.
Calling Birds: Four things I dislike about my life
1) Not having a job I can make a living with. I'm working on it, but right now, that kinda sucks.
2) Many people in my life expecting me to have arrived at a certain (conventional, secure, middle-class, boring) point by now. Even if I find more and more that that's not what I want.
3) Not being confident and brave enough to tell people what I actually want to do, for fear that they will try to discourage me on the grounds that it's a nigh impossible dream and that I will let them.
4) Can't think of anything else, and actually I don't wanna ponder it anymore, because why would I spend more time complaining when I can think of more uplifting, positive things in my life?
French Hens: Three rivals/enemies
I'm kind of a non-confrontational person, as well as an introvert, so there isn't really anyone I can name, so I'm going to go with the abstract on this one.
1) Self-doubt. I need to get over the fact that there's things I can't do and start believing that there's other things I'm bloody good at.
2) Lethargy. Sometimes I escape too far into my own world and let life pass me by without partaking in all the beautiful, amazing things that I might still discover out there.
3) Fear. It's good not to jump in feet first when I have no idea where you're going to land, but sometimes that's exactly what you need to do. Fear will paralyze you and keep you from standing up for things you love and think important. Don't let it.
Turtle Doves: Two people I like
Again, I don't want to pick out any two people because I got so many in my life who are awesome and important to me in so many different ways. So I cheat.
1) Passionate people. Someone who wants to know and spend time and stand up for an issue that is dear to their heart or essential to their lives. I admire them deeply.
2) Creative people. Someone who pours their time and energy and thought into creating something for the pure joy of themselves and others to witness something that hasn't been before. I aspire to that greatly.
Partridge in a Pear Tree: My one love
Stories. Stories make my world go round. They make all the worlds go round actually.
