A/N: Big Bang's are not only challenges because authors and artists agree to set themselves big tasks, they're also always a bit of a gamble for both sides in the rush to describe the stories and claim the summaries and not really knowing what you'll get once the frenzy is done. And this year, I've certainly been paired with the most wonderful, supportive author in alexisjane whose story I read with pleasure for the great cast of characters, sudden twists and gorgeous visual scenes. Still, at the beginning I found myself really struggling with figuring out how I could and would like to illustrate the story with my medium of choice, which led to a period of denialist procrastination. But in the end, I was not going to let my author down and back away from a challenge and with her encouragement and enthusiasm, suddenly it all came together and I was able to create a vid that I'm really happy with because it gives you glimpses of the story and the central character dynamics with a teasing edge that will hopefully make you want to read it. So, thank you, alexisjane for your unending patience and squee, it was great working with you, thank you, mods for the incredible amount of effort you put into running this challenge so smoothly and thank you readers/viewers for coming back every year to share this time with us!

A/N: Sooooo, can't believe this is already the second time that I'm participating in BigBang season as an artist. This year, again I didn't make the writer's deadline, but was lucky enough to find one story that spoke to me and that I thought I could make a vid for and I'm once again very pleased with the result. My dear author syngates_guitar was a fantastic sport, patient, supportive, squeeing, very excited and a pleasure to work with. I'm really glad that I could provide a great companion piece for her story, that was so rich in imagery and references to the show that I didn't have trouble at all putting this together. I really love participating in this challenge and I hope we can be around for many years to come.

Alright guys of my fantastic flist,

like I told you in my last post, I had to give up my bigbang for exam reasons, which is why I couldn't make the deadline, so I've decided to make a Catbang instead. The way this works is pretty easy: I'm going to post the header to my story here - it's not quite finished but I plan to make that happen soon - so any of you fabulous artists on my flist (or people who have artist friends they want to point in my direction, because they might be interested) who would like to take up the story and make some art for it are welcome to comment on this post.

Comments are screened and in case of more than one person applying for the job, I will put all your names in a random generator to pick out who gets the call, I think that's fair.
I'll give you guys time till Saturday evening to throw your names in the mix and whoever is selected will receive a note immediately (and the draft as far as I have it if you give me an email in the comments too). As for the time frame, I'd like to post in June but before the actual big bang posting starts, however, since we're not in a real challenge, time is relative *g*.

Hey guys,
just feeling the need to share a few words with my awesome flist. Tomorrow I'll have my third oral exam that will at the same time be my last final. Apart from my thesis that's gotta be finished till Aug 1st, it's the last thing that's thethering me to university. After that I'll be done. Strange, strange feeling, but I'm telling you guys, i'm also ready for it to be the frick over. *g* Wish me luck.

Due to the exams coinciding with the Deadline like they did, I couldn't make Big Bang happen this year and it's a real shame too since I'm stuck at 16.3k or so. But I have a contingency plan that y'all are going to be hearing about tomorrow, so stay tuned.

Preparations and contacts for Georgia are well under way and I can't wait to go and see the USA for the first time (I hope that I'll have the opportunity to travel a bit, but I'll have to see about that concerning my job duties.)

Anyway, I hope you all are save, sound, and rocking the socks.

Besides that I'll have to go cat nap and dream up what I wanna do with that cat in the mandwich between two big, strong, incredibly beautiful men that my horoscope says I'm going to meet in May. *lol* I'm open for posing ideas, photo ops want to be well planned after all.
