I hadn't seen the notice that they would change it - this is the first I've heard of it. Personally, I have used the subject line in comments about 2 times in the 5 years I've been on LJ so that's no problem for me. Apparently, they have changed it already - because I see the new design right now, and I love the new Icon thingy - in firefox and with my Internet connection etc, this actually seems to be better and faster than the old one, but I guess it might be different for other people. I can see the problem with lack of subjectline in memes etc - but since I am not part of any memes, that hasn't been any problem. But yeah - I can really see the problem there.
