Serious RL stuff

How do you keep sending out applications after all you get is zilch or no-thank-yous and not even the chance to prove yourself in an interview?


I mean, I know it's hard, looking for a job, especially in an economy where there are none and in a field where there are even less.

Just frustrated and sick right now. (No I'm really sick, but that's just the cherry on the poop.)

It does get better sweetie. Just keep plugging and something might turn up. Sometimes we need to take a job to pay the bills while we look for our real job. <3

Thank you... this is just the first time in my life that I'm doing everything in advance to take care of how things are going to go on in the future and it's not working. It's not like I'll be homeless or penniless if I don't find a job from September on, or that I don't have options that will tide me over even if it's not exactly what I want to do, but I feel like if people aren't even going to give me a chance to prove myself, what else can I do?

One of the managers here at work, her son has been looking for over a year and he has a degree in Environmental something or other. He can't even get one at a burger joint because so many people are out of work. The older laid off workers are getting the jobs the college kids and teenagers were working.

Yeah, I mean, on the field of cultural management, things are looking even more dire since it was never that stellar to begin with and I'm frustrated with myself because i'm beginning to doubt that this is what I want to do professionally, when I know that it's the field i'll be at my fullest potential.

*sigh* yeah, it's not like I don't have options or anything, but I don'T want to spend anymore time on doing stuff that does not help to get me where I want to go... it's frustrating.
