So ... quick update people, so that my flisties know I ain'tn't dead.
Got hit by a car last Saturday though, that wasn't much fun, luckily just a bruised shin and a trashed bike.
Got through the festival with three weeks of hard work, but surprisingly, it wasn't as bad as we thought it would be. Seems like we make a great team.
Since my last whiny job-related post, I've actually been invited to four interviews. One didn't fit because it was basically another internship and the money would have been too tight. One was a preference a little less because of the job description (though that was interesting) and more because of the close proximity of family and friends it would have allowed me to have. Got to second round of interviews, but sadly didn't make the cut. Went to an interview at a city about 5 train hours from home and they grilled me pretty good. I was 50/50 on my performance and not sure whether it would be a good fit. They called me last week to tell me I didn't get it because they felt I was overqualified and wouldn't have been happy in the long run, but please would I consider applying for higher managerial position (which is basically one of the bosses of the original job) that was posted for a fixed-term contract of maternity leave substitution? Less hours, same pay and hell yes I applied. Haven't heard anything yet, but the deadline has not yet passed.
And I sent in an application yesterday, which I got a call for today to come in for an interview tomorrow. All a bit hurried, but I'm looking forward to it. Not so much the 10 hours on the train tomorrow.
But I'm rather confident now that no matter if it'll happen instantly after my term here in Darmstadt or a little further into the future, that I'll get a job (a real one) eventually.
So that's the state of the goat, folks. Oh and we're getting puppies again next week. I'll post pictures. Also in fannish endeavours I'm bleed pretty dry right now, but I have a vid-idea in the works and I plan to fill at least a few bingo squares in the near future, keeping you posted.

How's everyone been? I've been following posts of course, but haven't really had time to do more than a bit of browsing in my inbox.

Well, you saw the first pictures on facebook already, there aren't any more yet, cause my mum hasn't sent them (I'll actually only get to SEE the babies for the first time on Sunday when I'm home again). For the moment I'm trying to keep my dad from calling one of them 'Girly' (no, just no). I'll keep you guys posted!

I've tried, but they're very squirmy and they tend to start peeing when you lick them over the belly *lol* but I love petting them like Goldfinger, they have very thick fur already!

Yeah, you have to be careful not to drop them... but they're old enough now that about three of the four legs can hold up their weight, so it's a really funny turtle race when they wake up and wanna get to mama's milk bar.
