Summary: Samuel was an angel who should never have been.  He was supposed to become the Morningstar and fight at the end of days against his brother, Michael to determine the fate of all humanity.  What happens though when a child changes that fate?  When Sam makes a choice to save his brother from the life he should have lived, everything is different.  Different, but how can Samuel stay away from the man that his brother has become?  How can he stand aside when he knows he can make a difference in Dean’s life, the way his brother had for him in a life not lived?  And what happens when Destiny tries to take another swing at the Winchester boys?

A/N: This has been a tumultuous challenge for me this year, because I didn't really have time to do it and very nearly managed to miss the deadline with this project (which I'd started on the same day) by a couple of hours, but despite everything I got matched up with a terrific author and friend, hunters_retreat, which made me very happy, and I love what she's done with the place. I really love this challenge because it touched me off as an artist and I hope I'll be able to participate for many years to come!

Wow, I loved that! Great cutting (or whatever it's called, I have no idea about vidding, sorry) and I like the fact that you spanned such a long period with young John and Mary at the beginning and Dean with his own little family at the end. Brilliant, the way you build suspense with the music, too! Eerie but not too scary, if that makes sense. I don't have time to read the story yet, but it'll definitely go on my to-read list. Good job!
