I'm at that awkward stage right now where nothing really HAPPENS before the final battle action shit goes down, which sucks, but has to be written to get to the final battle action shit which will then suck because I have not found a way to write action scenes as fast as they happen in my head which is really frustrating. lol. Man, do I know that spot where it's soggy; I'm there now in a coda I'm valiantly trying to whip into shape. "What am I trying to saaaay, something neeeeeeds to happen, waaaaaah!"

LOL, actually my subconscious spoke a lot those past couple of hours, but on scenes that happen one over twice removed in the timeline, which is great for how the ending is coming together, but it doesn't get me there and it makes my head such an awesome place to be in the story and such an excellent writing distraction.
I have considered trying to write out of order so I can get those scenes out of my head, but I'm a terribly reluctant editor (at least once the stuff's cranked out, I edit in my head all the time) and the times I've tried that just ended up with the fic not happening because I still couldn't bring myself to write those filler scenes. And I always get half the ideas one how a scene will play out once I'm writing the one beforehand.
I'm at that spot where I'm at a....let me put it like it was a dubstep song...I've had the first big bass drop...it's time for the melody and the rise to the next drop but I'm like...I don't like the inbetweens it takes to get to the next big moment...lol
So yeah I get just where you are right now...lol...I never thought about posting for motivation...I so need to try that...
LOL, I love it when people come up with metaphors to describe things that I'd never dream up in a million years.
I just was very excited to be writing again after not having the drive to do so for a very long time (especially concerning this story) and I felt like I had to talk to someone about it, or I'd explode. And I need to feel like people are looking forwards to my results and progress, it kickstarts me when I get sidetracked.
So thank you for pitching in and I'm sure YOU CAN DO IT TOOOOOOO. Sometimes you just have to trudge on and let the awesome happen. And if it turns out that you really don't like it when you're done, you bite the bullet and go edit.
