Christmassy thoughts for the season

long time no see alright, but I wanted to use this very time of the year to put a few thoughts into writing on this Christmas Day. This is a very special Christmas for me for it's the first one I've ever spend from away from home and only connected to my family and best friends by that extremely ingenius invention called the internet. I have a new kind of appreciation for the things I've taken for granted for years. But it's not all bad, since I am on the road seeing and experiencing places that I couldn't ever have dreamed of.

hunters_retreat who invited me to come stay with her just like that, a time that has certainly been one of the most enjoyable that I've spend this year, thanks to her and her lovely, extraordinary family.
Also, thanks tonrrrdy_grrrl for providing my shiny new icon as a Christmas present just like that.
And of course,insane_songbird who gets to talk to me far too little these days and will therefore recieve the most amazing Birdie-present I can find.
I am thinking of you all and wish all my flist a very Merry Christmas and hope that all of you can spend it with your family or at least talking and thinking of them, for 'tis the season.
