The Header theme
Jul. 24th, 2009 10:43 pmSOOooo... I think it's time that I finally make use of the journal thing in Life Journal, so I think this is my first rant post. I just want to inform the very fab guys on my flist that totally forgive me for spamming about the goings on.
Well, first and foremost, Birdie finally got around making my header (after her finals she's like 40 hours awake now... and possibly dead to world the whole of tomorrow.... so I'm mighty glad she did it!)
And of course you can see it on my LJ if you visit, but there's also the pre-version which doesn't bear not going around on the net anywhere, so I'll post it here for kicks *g*
Other than that... I'm trying to finish all my papers for uni, but I'm rather well in terms of time, because we have so much vacation time this semester. I'll be working on my exam thesis though, which... yeah, is kind of terrifying, because it means that next year around this time, there will be the big finals for me (the first ones, at least...) and lately, my resolve has been wavering.
I mean, I love my stuff, History, German, English, and I know I can be a teacher.
But I find myself wanting... culture, art, theatre, music. Lately... so, maybe I'll do something else altogether? I really don't know.
It's an artists life.. a hard life and I'm not sure if I'm cut out for it, since I crave stability and home bases on the other hand.
Well, I have time still..
It's just good to get it out to you people... so, whaddaya say??

So, this is it... Great!! say it, come on!!
Anyway, a week from now I'll be leaving for Iceland to participate in an opera workshop and I'm totally giddy and anxious, cause it will be the first time I fly completely alone without anyone to accompany me and I have no idea who will be waiting for me at the other end. Still, I think it'll go over well (I hope) and I'll get to know a lot of great people and that beautiful little island.

Date: 2009-07-24 09:59 pm (UTC)Iceland will be over sooner than you want it to in the end--- you know I had accommodated you if I were there that time. Too much spare time this sem? such a F******... it's just not fair.
You know I back up the arts... all of them, always. But then I'm the coward who does the arts as a hobby on 3 ends while studying the good ole' prestigious subject. LOL
*hugs* B

Date: 2009-07-24 10:14 pm (UTC)And did I say anything about SPARE time??? HA... I wish.. these seven weeks that are left see to the finish of two papers a considerable chunk of my 60 *SIXTY* page zula thesis. Not to mention that I still gotta read five books for the HS next sem and probably a few more rolling in once I know what we'll be doing in German. *clucks*
And you are prestigious yeah... makes you interesting eheheheh.

Date: 2009-07-24 10:43 pm (UTC)I hope you enjoy Iceland, and don't feel too unstable while you're there. I can't cope with stability, so we are different.

Date: 2009-07-25 06:42 am (UTC)Jup, I'm pretty much a terrible home-hogger, and while I AM rather flexible in the end, I don't cope well with the onset of change.. hmmm. One small step at a time, I'll get there *g*
